Monday was my 24th birthday, which was way fun! My amazing husband made sure I got a nice b-day gift and some beautiful flowers. My very good friend Lauren from high school, came to stay on my birthday! She lives in China right now, and was back in the US staying with her parents in Rochester, NY and so she drove all the way up here to hang out with me and Audrey! It was awesome to see her. We went out to dinner with some of my friends from around here, and they surprised me with an ice cream cake... and Lauren had brought a cookie cake yummmm. Considering I had to spend my birthday without my husband I had an AWESOME day, tons of fun with my lovely daughter and great friends. Lauren and I stayed up ridiculously late chatting, but it was so worth the lack of sleep, and Audrey's birthday present to me was that she slept for TEN CONSECUTIVE HOURS. Love her...

nursery stuff

Well, we rent this townhouse, and the walls are BLAH boring beige. The bedding/accessories we picked out for Audrey's nursery are very bright, but the walls were still lacking. So I went to Michaels, bought wood letters, and 4 plain wood frames, some little wooden butterflies and flowers, and some acrylic paint of the main colors of her bedding. Then I painted the frames, letters, and assorted flower/butterfly things, and this is how they turned out (I'm hot glueing the flowers and butterflies on). I personally think they turned out super cute! Dave sprayed the clear coat on them for me, and then helped me hang on the wall in the nursery, but I didn't get a picture of that yet.

We don't have much set up yet in the room, as I just got back from MI, but Dave and his dad put the crib together, and Cindy and I put the bedding in :) It is so cute! Now I can't wait to get everything else put away and set up so I can take more pictures.

Valentines Day

We didn't get to spend Valentines Day together, but Dave sure did spoil me anyway. He sent me a card, and he got me a SLICE MACHINE! holy cow. I was so excited and I was shocked. He knows me too well. I am obsessed with scrapbooking, and this is a machine that cuts paper, cardstock, vellum, vinyl, etc. You get these cards that have letters, words, and shapes and things, and it cuts it out in the size you want etc. So basically its AWESOME. :D He also got me an extra design card, so I have like zillions of fun things to cut out :D He also ordered me some flowers, but UPS sucked at life and NEVER delivered them! Hahaha, their website said they were "out for delivery" all day, and they never came, so Dave was pissed, but I told him it was definitely the thought that counts :)

25 weeks and 4 days

I am starting to feel HUGE. I know I still have 3 months to go I can't even imagine. I'll have to buy some more maternity shirts, my pre pregnancy shirts such as the one I'm wearing in this picture are looking funny. Since Dave is gone I had to set up a tripod to take a picture of my 6 month belly and so it's a little off center, I tried though. I think for my first attempt at a self portrait it turned out ok :) Although my shadow behind me makes me look even more like a fatty hahaha. I took this Sunday I was 25 weeks and 4 days. Tomorrow I'll be 26 weeks and only 98 more days till my due date - Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy *dances*

Dave and I went to get my ultrasound on Friday, and it was amazing. The little one was practically doing summersaults in my belly, and kept putting its little hands over its face, adorable! We got to see its tiny little bladder, stomach, and other assorted organs. It's little heart was beating, we even got to see all the little ventricles!! How crazy cool it was. Baby was being SO stubborn about showing us its parts, keeping its little knees together. With all the moving it was doing I couldn't believe it could keep its legs so close haha. But they couldn't find any male parts throughout the ultrasound, and then at the very end they got a couple shots of what looks to be female parts! :D :D :D I would have been excited either way, and I was actually POSITIVE we were having a boy, but it looks like it is probably a girl. We went out and got some pink baby clothes, although I kept the receipts just in case it turns out it is a boy lol.

Wednesday we were in Rochester with the McCarthy parents, then Thursday we drove over to Marshall to the Fish parents, and then over to Dave's aunt and uncle's in Kalamazoo for dinner. Friday we saw family and friends, and went out to Old Peninsula with a bunch of friends. Saturday a bunch of friends came over to the Fish house in Marshall, and it was awesome to see everyone. We headed back over to Rochester that afternoon, and left back for NY Sunday afternoon. *phew* 31 hours in the car from Wednesday to Sunday. THIRTY ONE. We must love our family and friends :D

about 2 weeks ago Dave and I took a trip down to Panama City Beach for the weekend. It was so much fun! Gunnar was not a fan of the water, but he loved the sand. It did get sunny out, but my batteries in my camera already died haha.

My friend Caitlin tagged me and my assignment was to take ten photos right away. I did my best, I actually took them this morning and now I am finally posting them haha :)

1. The sink: It's our kitchen sink, and unlike Caitlin, I have not done the dishes yet today :P

2. The Laundry Room: I had a hard time getting the washer and dryer both in... they are in this little tiny room in our front hallway so I couldn't get far back enough. At least my laundry room is clean...

3. The Toilet: Our downstairs toilet...

4. The Fridge: It's big... and has tons of pictures and other random stuff all over it :D

5. What are your kids/spouse doing right now?: Dave was eating breakfast, checking stuff online, basically getting ready for work. Since I have no kids, and my animals are my children... Pickles was playing in the boxes, Maylea was chilling on the kitchen chair, and I caught Gunnar as he was on his way to mess with Pickles - see the look he gives me when he knows hes in trouble??? How can you be mad at that face!??

6. Favorite Shoes: It's a toss up between my tennis shoes and my yellowbox flip flops (I have many pairs, they are all my favorite, that particular one was just closest)

7. Favorite Room: It's a toss up between our living room, which I couldn't get a good pic of cause of the morning sun blaring in the windows so its just a pic from Christmas of the room. And our Bathroom, because of the relaxing jacuzzi tub :D

8. Your closet: Kinda messy, picture doesn't do it justice, its HUGE - this is just part of Dave's side of it...

9. Dream Vacation: A really nice hotel in Colorado and skiing and snow and outdoor jacuzzi and of course my husband :D I guess the alps would be pretty sweet too!!

We had gotten a grill from good friends of ours down here, when they got a new grill, they gave us their old one. We liked grilling so much, but the grates were starting to get real rusty and charcoal was kind a pain, so we broke down and got a new grill at Sam's Club. It was a really good deal, it has an infrared searer, 4 burners, and a side burner for cooking in a pan, and it has a built in rotisserie if we ever feel the need to rotisserie a chicken. We got it on Thursday while my parents were here and we have used it at least once a day since then :D

Dave's brother Shad, his wife Jenny, and our nephews Anthony and Joel came to visit for a few days from Sunday to Wednesday. We went to the museum and hung out at the pool. It was a good time, but I can definitely tell you I am not used to having kids around our house, I am so not used to the noise!!! We got the boys some Army PT's for Christmas so they showed those off for us! cute cute cute :)
